Aassnid Organises Maiden Future Leaders Annual Conference

The Association of Anambra State Students in Nigeria and Diaspora, OAU Chapter is set to organise her maiden Future Leaders Annual Conference with the theme, “The Role of Students In Politics”.
In an exclusive interview with the President of the association, Chwukuka Valentine Igwe, he made it known that the importance of Students in politics and indeed governance cannot be overemphasized.
“Despite making up more than half of the population in many countries, young people and students often find themselves marginalized from mainstream politics and decision making. This exclusion, combined with limited educational and economic opportunities, can leave young people both idle and frustrated with the status quo. On this note, Association of Anambra State Students in Nigeria and in Diaspora (AASSNID) hosts a zoom conference tagged, “THE ROLE OF STUDENT IN POLITICS” to enlighten young people to channel their energy, creativity and aspirations and become political leaders and activists.” He said.
The Conference, sponsored by Chisco Unlimited and Mr. Olalekan Olatunbosun a.k.a “The Catalyst” would take place by 12pm on the 10th of October, 2020 is to be graced by seasoned speakers. Some of the invited guests are; Nze Chuks Ifeacho (Chairman, Assembly of Anambra Indigenes, Germany), Amb. Frank Kogsey (Leadership and Governance expert), Josephine Awuah-Dapaah (Political Scientist/Activist), among others.
Igwe did not fail to add that the conference would be happening on Zoom and Facebook live. He therefore enjoined prospective participants to register on time so as to book a seat. Each participants shall be given Certificate of Participation.
