“We give the Local, State and Federal government maximum of twenty-one (21) days to fix integral part of ota roads else the Lavour Union will shut down Ogun State!”
The Ogun state Cordinator of Take It Back Movement also known as #RevolutionNow Movement Comrade. Festus Afofun said “It is a show of shame that the Ogun state government led by Governor Dapo Abiodun is deriving pleasure in the cries of agony of Ota people, likewise the Minister of Works Babatunde Raji Fashola who knows best how to find Camera in lekki toll-gate but is unable to find deplorable roads in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government. We have been protesting for the reconstruction of all Ado-Odo/Ota roads since 2019 but this regime have been showing non-challancy towards our plights. We shall continue to agitate for good roads in all civil manner we know.”
Lastly, the spokesperson for Ota Indigenous Youth initiative Mr. Toyin Alani remarked that despite Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government been the industrial economic hub of Ogun state, past and present administration have neglected this local government and we as the youths have not not enjoyed anything if not deplorable roads and incessant ghastly road accidents. We urge the government to come fix ota roads as industries are packing out of the industrial hub and economic activities are crumbling rendering 70% of our youths jobless.
The protesters give the government ultimatum of 21 days to fix critical parts of Ota Roads.
